
Paul Little | Founder and Vice President of Business Development
Paul Little founded JP3 Measurement in 2005 in response to a recognized lack of analytical equipment that could survive harsh South Texas environments as well as provide valuable data to the demanding oil & gas production infrastructure. Now, as Vice President of Business Development at JP3, Mr. Little is responsible for advancing the company’s business strategy and for developing applications that utilize the unique aspects of optical measurement technologies in order to increase the customer’s operational efficiencies. Prior to founding JP3, Mr. Little was final test manager at Applied Materials and at Wolfe Engineering, both semiconductor manufacturing companies in the Silicon Valley. Mr. Little holds Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
Jie Zhu | Head of Technology Development
Jie Zhu joined JP3 Measurement in 2013 as Senior Engineer and Principal Spectroscopist. Over the years with the company, he was promoted to successive positions as Director of New Product Development, Senior Director of Development, and now Head of Technology Development. His Technology Development Team is responsible for JP3’s R&D, product management, product & application development, chemometrics & data science, and quality management system. Prior to JP3 Measurement, Mr. Zhu was an R&D engineer at Analytical Specialties, Inc. (ASI), where he was one of the key inventors and developers for ASI’s tunable diode laser process analyzers. He worked for Yokogawa as an Application and Research Engineer after Yokogawa acquired ASI in 2008. Mr. Zhu holds Bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Computer Science from Tsinghua University (China) and Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University.
Bill Tsakopulos | Director of Hardware Engineering
Bill Tsakopulos has been providing design engineering, research and product development expertise for JP3 Measurement since the company was founded in 2005. Mr. Tsakopulos joined JP3 as a full-time employee in 2013, continuing in his role as Lead Design Engineer and working in Research and Development. In 2020, he was promoted to Director of Manufacturing; in 2021, he gained the additional title of Director of Hardware Engineering. Prior to joining JP3, Mr. Tsakopulos was Site Manager of Wolfe Engineering Austin, a semiconductor equipment contract manufacturing and engineering company based out of Silicon Valley. Mr. Tsakopulos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas.
