A friend of mine rec'd this email today, in response to a job posting:

Hello, I'm in West Virginia. I'm a PBA in our XXXXXXX office. My husband and I have been discussing moving to the Columbus area. When searching for me a position, we came accross your position also. My husband has a college degree and is very talented in his field he has worked in this area for almost 6 years now, but there are no jobs here it seems. I sopke with our human resources yesterday and they told me to email you and drop a line to let you know our plans. I'm in no way trying to persuade you, I dont even know if his experince is enough, but I at least wanted to hello and we will wait to hear from you or at least to see if he qualifies.
